Well, finally. A new taxi cab service to replace the old Swan and Black And White Taxis. It has been far too long in coming.

Trying to catch a cab from Northbridge late at night is a nightmare – occasioned as much by the taxi operators as the patrons. The old cab rank gave way a long time ago to the new fetch-and carry Ubers and Olas but we still need a reliable shuttle service for the people who didn’t want to drive in and try to park.

This will also take some of the pressure off the Police as they are sick of having to use the divvie van to take drunks off the street. The interim solution of a live-sheep truck never really worked out – Northbridge streets were laid out before there were large turning circles.

Short of razing Northbridge to the ground and sewing it with salt, this seems like a good compromise.
