Martin B 10 Bomber – Part Five – Naked Whale

Well, you can see the corrugated strakes on the top of the Martin, and I assure you they are there on the bottom as well. I’m going to be grateful when it comes to the decals that – unlike the JU 52 – these ripples do not interfere with the decorations.

The seams of the Czech kit are really quite good, but I am a fussy person these days – I still slathered them with Perfect Plastic Putty for the final smooth-down. It comes off so easily with 600-grade wet-and-dry paper that you can make sure you’ve got good coverage beforehand.

The side seams are legacy of the twist, but they are small enough to go under this sort of filler. As they have been made to occur on undecorated sides of the fuselage they will be all the easier to hide.
