I’ve grumbled before about the limitations of scale plastic modelling in very hot weather – and a fat lot of good it has done me.
So, rather than sit and moan, I have decided to sit and cut plastic. Inside – in the A/C at my Saturday afternoon group. I can’t paint but I can sand and cement. And the new P-61 Black Widow model has benefited from the work.
The kit is marginally abominable, but that is a function of its age. If you are prepared to fill and sand repeatedly, you will eventually have something. It may be a mis-shapen something but that explains a lot of our lives anyway.
The heading image is one day of heat, carefully turned to profit. Every part is a model in itself, and the ensemble may eventually be worth the effort.
