Issa nice-a day for-a the flying!

And a nice SPAD serving the Italian air force in WW1. I strayed from the box markings deliberately.

The Lafayette Escadrille Indian head will have to wait until another time, as will the native American swastika. I did some research for SPADs with that combination and only found one flown by Raoul Lufberry but I suspect it was in French markings with the swastika in red as well as the head.

I will probably also complete a third SPAD in French markings for Nungesser or Fonck but will wait until a Czech or Ukrainian kit becomes available to see if modern technique has improved the strut works.

Now that I have gotten the Italians involved in the WW1 section I hope to be able to run down a Caproni bomber as well. Or one of their impossibly complex seaplanes to increase my level of frustration. The jury is still out on the best method of displaying seaplanes, by the way. I have a two-year plan to attempt this but the plans still require me to find translucent blue plastic sheeting and/or foam sheet.
