The Little World

The wonderful thing about Costco is that nearly everything they sell is in big lots and it is all well packaged.

Thus the recent purchase of 10 croissants in a clear plastic container was actually a considered modelling decision. The fact that the pasties were heated up and consumed with strawberry jam and cups of coffee is beside the point- the packaging was the real goal….

And needed. The Grumman Hawkeye is an awkwardly-shaped aircraft, what with the revolving radar dish on the top and the wide wingspan. It was either going to need a special shelf in the cabinet, a specially-constructed box, or a trip to the Costco baked goods section.

I believe I made the sensible choice – any modeller would.
