I can certainly agree with this when it comes to scale model designers who decide to make a resin hub and separate injected plastic blades for a propeller. I should be happy to set punji stakes or hungry crocodiles in the courtyard in front of the window

It is only by delicate measurements and indelicate language that you can achieve a vague semblance of a real prop. You fight to get the angle right on both radius and torsional lines – and you fight it three times. The material disparity means you are forced to join using cyanoacrylate cement with subsequent brittleness of the joints.

Simpler injection-moulded props would be far preferable, even at the cost of simpler shapes.
