And I am looking – the Italeri kit has turned out a beauty, a one-day build, of course, and I got to use some of he enamel paints that were kindly given to me.

The intricate blast shield mechanism came out perfectly.

As did the hatch for the escape hole. There are two catapult shoes in the kit so I’ll be making them both up – one for spares. Then it is off to the collection shelves to see which USN jets will look good on the cat. I think I have three at this stage of the game, but this deck will encourage me to make a lot more.
