The Really Good Kits

Go to someone else.

We are left with the stuff that doesn’t sell. The wholesale trade has only a certain number of new releases each year and when these have been sent to the eastern state’s shops we get the dregs. And plastic dregs can be dreadful.

I don’t think the makers started out to make junk. They probably had high ideals…until the cost of materials, labour, and packaging exploded. And if they are working with an old mould that fell off the back of a container ship…welcome to Flash City.

In a way we are lucky our skill is needed – it keeps it up to the mark. If all kits were shake and bake we would finish too soon and never have anything to which to aspire.

Aspire: A word that has been invented to cover the sound of sobbing.
