What Did You Make?

Or – if you are still cutting and gluing – what are you making?

Is it a little airplane from a kit? A ship? A doll house? A working railway? Good – all you different makers, would you be surprised to realise that you are all making the same thing?

What?

You are making yourself happy. You are making your own portion of the Little World, and no matter how good or bad the result, or however many times you glue yourself to the cutting mat, you are still going to be happier than when you started.

Other people around you may have a different frame of mind. The spouse that has to accommodate yet another battleship or Victorian mansion. The kids that are not allowed to touch. The girlfriend that sees another new Lego box that does not contain a diamond ring…you can feel for them, but don’t discuss the situation.

And do not surrender your happiness to the club ‘rak or the smarmy in-law. They want happiness but are not willing to build for it.

One response to “What Did You Make?”

  1. All about happiness isn’t…
