The sting.
The bit where the kit bites back. The inter-plane struts that look so promising lure you on to fasten them to the bottom assembly and then offer up the top wing – only to have your hopes dashed.

I do not mind parts that fit where they touch, but that argues that they actually do touch…the top wing would have been straight had they done so , and the cabanes would have actually worked. As it is, the assembly is best viewed from above where none of the bad fit can be seen.

The rest of the plane is good – the propeller being one of my first wood-effect paint jobs. These will undoubtedly get better. And the home-made Spanish decals have worked perfectly. I am applying more ink in the printing and it makes a real difference.

For a freebie, this is a mild success.
