This ain’t my first rodeo, nor my first Curtiss Model 75. Review the old posts and find the Revell kit I built in Norwegian colours.
This kit, however is a new variant of this interesting aircraft, and an entirely new kit maker as well. AML seems to be a Czech firm who supply entire kits or conversion sets for other maker’s models.

The panels have good engraved lines but no riveting. detail edges slightly agricultural but no worse than many eastern kits and I cannot see a sink mark. Landing gear is commendably proportioned and the propeller is moulded in one. They have my delighted attention.

The canopy is a doubled vac-form designed for two different marks of aircraft, and there are two engine cowlings for the same reason. the real stunning surprise is a resin and PE inclusion as well – the kit is intended as a real exercise to capture the type.

The instructions are clear and the options are spelled out. Unfortunately the scheme call-out in the instructions is the old monochrome diagrams, but the back of the box has a well-drawn full-colour RAF version.

The decals are from Propagteam 2000 so they are in good shape – you get three schemes. The RAF colours are slightly more complex than the FF or USAAC but the French one would be a good accompaniment to two FF airliners for a North African airfield. Decision later.
