Are all R/C cars racers? Or 4WD buggies?
Has no-one got the ambition to drive a scale model Toyota Camry to a scale model shopping centre and spend a half hour trying to back it into a parking space?
I was brought to this when visiting the doctor recently. In the car park was a yellow and white Toyota Land Cruiser that I recognised from Stanbridge’s hobby shop. Many years ago there was a ready-to-run R/C model of it made by someone like Tamiya or Kyosho. It was probably intended for the hobbyist who likes to climb over bricks and rubble, but it could equally have gone to someone who would drive it on a scale street.
After all, the scale truckers go to considerable lengths to make temporary layouts in school gymnasiums so that they can steer their big rigs around. Why not a scale model suburb.
Then the enthusiasts could practice pulling out suddenly from side streets into traffic and driving down the centre of the carpark lane very slowly. You could have a scale model coffee shop where they stopped on the ” No Stopping ” sign until you came out and offered them a latte to leave…
