It looks as if the warning sign idea for exhibition tables is a success – at least in the making.
The wood was purchased at the Big Clawhammer but the rest of the materials were all to hand in the workshop. Even the red and yellow paint. The later is a mix of all the dregs from the model shelf steamed together with a reviving thinner. I should not have liked to risk them on proper models, but this graphic signage is perfect.
We shall experiment with the clip-ons at a small exhibition in a public library. If the signs have enough deterrent effect – keeping kids fingers from the display models – we’ll not need to add more.
If more is needed I have 200mm-wide strips of a clear, stiff PVC sheeting that can be screwed to the wood.
