At today’s scale model exhibition I noted the same model on two different tables – one for pure display and one for competition.
They were both renditions of a 1:24th Landrover by Italeri and both finished superbly. I would be proud of either of them – t’were other dear charmer away…

I was pleased to see that they had not both been displayed side by side as this would have slighted the builders. Duplication of effort is an unavoidable aspect of kit building – think how many Mustspitschmitts you see every competition.
Separation by scale helps, as does differential colouring. Otherwise it is two women wearing the same frock to a party…
