The PDMC car layout is often recognisable at model exhibitions – it has model cars in it. It also has litle people, which count for a great deal of the pulling power it has with crowds.

You cannot stand around all day and drink coffee and not pay the price. The Cannington Exhibition Centre is fully equipped to deal with this, and is admirably cleanly about it. No complaints whatsoever.

PDMC, however, need to do some crowd-analysis studies and consider whether they are getting themselves into trouble. The basic mechanics of the thing are well-known, and time and motion studies ( without cameras ) have proven over and over that one half of the population will take a lot longer than the other half.

No blame attaches to them, unless they step in a bit of used paper…

Now is the time for PDMC to draw up plans for a 1:24 scale six-holer to relieve the pressure on their little spectators. Line dancing is all very well, but not in certain lines…
