Many thanks to the modeller who prepared this little moral vignette for the competition table.
It serves as a timely reminder to us all that in the midst of turmoil, we should look to the important things first.
Like the business of getting our models to the show. I packed mine in individual boxes with padding about them. I did not stack then 6-high in the car. I took my time on the road.
I did my part in the set-up of the tables and got the boxes in quick-smart. Then the car away to the furthest car park as soon as possible. After that I could concentrate on setting things out and finding food and drink.
The business of carousing, fighting, and stealing from the unsuspecting could wait until later – more time, more space, and less attentive modellers. It was a good haul this year, though what I am going to do with some of the loot is still undecided.
I’ll have to set priorities…
