Bless the designer who thought of making decals for the cockpits of 1/72 scale aircraft.
I admire the resin parts that people buy for aftermarley – they can be superbly detailed. A worker in 1/48 and larger would certainly get good visual value from a resin seat or control stick. And the PE brass instrument panels are very cute.

Yet, in this small scale, a lot of fiddly work is wasted under a canopy. Thus I welcome a solid cockpit tub, one-piece seat, simple control stick and equally simple instrument panel with no cutouts.

It enables me to apply the excellent Italeri dashboard decal knowing that it will stick flat. Likewise the side instruments and the seat’s belt formation. So much more satisfactory than fighting brass for an unrealistic appearance.
