Do the wings go on the back or the front?
Well, it was free. How can you complain at the lack of instructions with that in mind.? And how hard can it be to make a monoplane fighter?
Not hard at all, as one afternoon at the bench showed. Even early Minicraft kits are good when they are overseen by Academy. No filler whatsoever and very little scraping of the seams. You do need to thin down or eliminate registration pins , however, but the basic barrel-shaped fuselage halves join perfectly once this is done.

I recognize that this point has led me astray in the past. Accustomed as I was when a kid to cementing the kits together using the pins and sockets, I ended up with whatever misalignment the engineers had moulded into things. These days I sometimes take these portions off and often there is a good fit underneath them.
The undercarriage is spindly, but Academy have moulded well and eventually it snaps together. Bare in there, but I am not looking…
