Take Your Little Light With You

Everywhere.

You may not find an honest man, but you could encounter sympathetic modellers. This seemed to be the case for the chap who took his Japanese trains layout and a selection of locomotives to an unlikely venue; the South Perth annual exhibition for the WA Miniatures Association. Doll houses, tiny shops, and hobbit houses…and there was the railway.

He’s been to the larger railway exhibition at Claremont recently and enjoyed that, but I noticed that he also enjoyed the WAMA shoe – because his trains were charming and the miniaturists understand charm.

I got to talking, took his details, and will introduce him to another friend who is also building an N gauge Japanese layout. There are more connections to be made in this town than you would dream of – here are more enthusiasts to get together. And they are enthusiastic – I imagine if they all went on a group tour of Japan they would have a wonderful time and the Japanese rail staff would have a nervous breakdown.

Never pass by a chance to talk your hobby. You never know who will listen with pleasure.
