Your favourite airplane, or ship, or car, or tank…you would spend hours going over the possibilities. Then you could spend more drinking time debating it with other modellers. What a great idea!
Now suppose the discussion turned to the favourite model making company… and here the discussion was serious. Exacto knives would be drawn and people would square off to defend their sacred sites. Fanboys should be finally exposed and people’s prejudices laid bare – on sprue trees.
But that is an entirely subjective discussion. People will have experienced different builds and have drawn inferences and preferences from them. There is no really right or really wrong – just really opinionated opinions.
Someone out there likes Novo moels. You might be able to track them by the smell, but they do exist. Don’t judge them…
For me, I have never had a bad Italeri model. They have all been a fine mixture of precision and fudging in plastic, and at the end I have been happy with every build. Not the most detailed of designs, but as I work in 1:72 I do not want to see the rivets on the underside of the Elsan can for every build.
Plus they put out a product at an affordable price – with no brass nastiness or resin sadness.
