Let us imagine for a moment that the model making firm of Plasti-Prag decides to download a computer program for AI to help out the staff.

In it goes to the works Mac or PC, settling in amongst the porn and unpaid invoices, and the design section tries to use it to draw up box art – see the Part One post.

Now imagine the circuit starting to look at the rest of he accounting information in there. The money in, money out, sales figures, orders, plans, etc. What’s to stop the thing deciding to start planning the output for Plasti-Prag with no reference to the owners?

In the past ME109’s and Mustangs have sold very well. Obscure Hungarian helicopters have not. The circuit…which for purposes of this exercise we will call HAL 2023 decides that the only designs it will allow in the future will be those two planes. They will be produced in all possible variations, including the manga and hentai configurations.

Will Plasti-Prag grow rich? Well, answer that yourself by walking down the aisle of Hobbyhell and seeing if you fancy a Pink Mustang. It’s your money when you walk in and I suspect it’ll still be your money when you walk out…
